ARIE JAN MARINUS VAN VIERZEN Born November 9, 1941 in Susteren, Holland, passed away May 14, 2008 at Sutter Auburn Faith Hospital after battling esophageal cancer. Arie is survived by Linda, his wife of 39 years; their son Michael, their daughter-in-law Christy, incredible grandson Nathan, and extended family. Arie was raised in Rotterdam and immigrated to Canada in 1965. He then landed in California with his family in 1977. In early years Arie was an avid sports fan. He later turned his attention to golf and fishing. Arie was a great husband, father, and grandfather and will be deeply missed by friends and family. A memorial service is scheduled for 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, May 21 at Chapel of the Hills Funeral Home in Auburn. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Sutter Cancer Center (Sacramento).
